Moana becoming a Tautai must symbolize the sea-faring culture and ocean re that the Polynesians inhibit through their role to connect all of the Pacific. Unsure if Nalo symbolizes just storms, or colonialism and storms, but I do not think that this movie is that deep. An odd and peculiar movie. The matrix but dreams with ads on crack. The set is insane; The pink kitchen is fun. The tube that says “Teeth” made me laugh; Sugarbaby da turtle is da homie. Hundreds of Beavers 2022
Insanely hilarious. It’s somewhere between Monty Python and Looney Tunes. Everything is perfect and I love the direction that beavers went with their rapid industrialization. The religious, scientific, and ecological motifs were peak. The effects were great; The onomatopoeias, the music, the changes in medium, and the screenplay were all genius. This is 100% worth a rewatch. This movie will undoubtedly become a classic with time. I will definitely watch whatever this production company makes next. They have my vote!

I wish I enjoyed this more to be honest… I found the first one to be significantly better. Its format of a musical makes the movie hard to follow. It also makes Lady Gaga completely outshine Joaquin Phoenix. In fact, I found Phoenix’ performance, as a singer and as an actor, quite boring. As a DC comics fan, I am underwhelmed. I enjoy the medium and the director’s intentions, but I look forward to Gunn’s version of these characters far more. The best part of this movie was Lady Gaga and the ending of this movie is kinda forgettable…
