Sure it’s long and slow at times but so damn wholesome. Tom cruise is so good at being an ass and it’s hilarious at times but also upsetting on a deeper level

Could argue it’s a bit dated and maybe even expected but such a great, heartfelt, movie. I think this film is about unconditional love, sacrifice, and letting go. Great acting all around in my opinion. The chemistry between River Phoenix (brother of Joaquin Phoenix) and Martha Plimpton was special and fun fact they dated in real life before River Phoenix passed. Rest in peace River. Died way too young.
