This movie can be skipped. Watch ‘I’m Not There’ instead, it’s an unconventional biopic that is much more true to the spirit of Bob Dylan than this one attempted. Take it from a lifelong Dylan fan.

Tim’s portrayal of Bob is close to being more like A Complete Insult. He mumbles his lines so bad the entire movie that he can hardly be understood. If you’ve ever heard the real Bob speak, he is well spoken and speaks CLEARLY. People don’t…

heartwarming in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling sticky from the sappiness, because there is no ‘sap’ here. even when it touches on sensitive topics, the characters manage to keep the mood light enough with their sense of humor and good-spirit. the 3 main characters become an unconventional close-knit family during a time where they each have no one else, and it’s very endearing to watch. it’s reminiscent of ‘Wonder Boys’ with Michael Douglas and Tobey Maguire, which is one of my favorites. will be rewatching ‘The Holdovers’ again and again.

Judy Garland is such a strong lead. What a legend.

This movie was fun from beginning to end. A brilliant take on a classic story. Emma Stone’s performance was captivating and at times oddly endearing to watch. I will admit, the countless sex scenes did get old for me after a point, but I understood their purpose all the same. I will recommend this carefully to only a certain type of person. Definitely will be rewatching it once it’s streaming.
