Keep your eye on the doughnut, not the hole.

My top 4 are my favourite films that I watched last month.
This is an extremely beautiful and moving portrait of the Jewish experience during the Nazi occupation of Poland. It showed how dehumanised and humiliated the Jewish community was. It was a harrowing film, and it was a very accurate depiction of this era in time.
Wicked is on everybody’s lips at the moment. I’ve heard reviews citing it a masterpiece, and personally I disagree. I had a fun time, but it was about 45 minutes too long and there was one really weird subplot about animal persecution in Oz. Also Oz is meant to be Dorothy’s dream so how does this fit in?? However Defying Gravity was a perfect end to the film.
RIP Gene Hackman.
Completely unrelated but it’s Oscar Night! Would love to see Anora win Best Picture and Ralph Fiennes to finally win, but we’ll see…
