It's incredibly simple, but the simplicity doesn't disturb the importance and tragedy of the topics the film tells us about. It's perfectly structured and just pleasing to look at, even though it won't be an easy watch. You can't do anything but enjoy the clever written opposites the cousins share. Impulsive, loud and charming Kieran Culkin is being perfectly supplemented by a through-planned, awkward and caring Jesse Eisenberg who, one can say, plays himself in the film he has written and directed. Yes, it's partly true, but it doesn't matter anyway at the end.
