Beautifully shot, and overall a good watch but nothing to obsess over for me at least. Played this in the studio while working.

i think it was an interesting watch, and the very intimate scenes provide a new way of engaging with the mind of someone like this...however, i see why folks say you don't need to watch it. Issei doesn't have much remorse, and you don't really get much into his crime in terms of the case---more so just his emotions/urges/feelings/etc.---, or even previous attempts to commit the crime---really just shots of him eating chocolate and his weird home footage videos. I don't feel like the documentary fully rises to it's intent or potential, but I can also imagine that's Issei's fault too.

The type of film I’d think become an instant classic for me… and it doesn’t. Inconsistencies and plot holes that I’m still thinking about a few days later so yes I came back and lowered my rating… Sully… we need to talk about that hair rope.
