  Had very low expectations as these films are all cynical cash grabs, which this still is, but it better than most, as the very least they leaned into it being a live action cartoon with all the strengths that entails, which makes it one of the more justifiable live action remakes.   I've been steadily working my way through the Doomwatch TV series (or what remains of it thanks to the BBC's terrible lack of archiving during the 1970s), and I've been enjoying it greatly.
