The Cook 2022
A well-shot work that makes deftly economical use of visuals and classical music (with no dialogue) to convey a short story in less than 4 minutes. The twist of “The Cook” is simply that the mysterious “dish” is just an elaborate blunt that appears only in the hallucinogenic vision of its user. This is only a three star review as the manner in which the narrative unfolded is interesting, but the whole drug aspect felt “meh”.
