The Mirror Has Two Faces 1996
My first Barbra Streisand movie! Knowing that the movie was directed by Streisand herself, I appreciate the way in which she portrays strength and power in the complex experience of accepting your own love - despite the ways in which our relationships can make us question if we are deserving. While moments made me wonder if this film was going to be lost to the eyes of men, Streisand brings it back into focus with assurance that she has control over and a passion for building a fulfilling life. Whether classic romance or cliche, I found joy in the joy of Streisand. Vincerò! Vincerò!
