  Was hoping for more of a total blowout but it’s a very solid sci-fi mind bender horror. A mash up of Alien, The Thing, 2001, Life, even Fight Club. Glad it was only 95 minutes. Not a bad film by any means but it’s just not going to blow your socks off

  Classic small time crime story. Some archetypal mafia tropes well used, including the most legendary kingpin in all of mafia media, Mr Soprano. Great twists and turns. Just when you think the love story might be getting in the way it goes back to the action. A modern crime classic. Movies like this owe a debt to “The Friends of Eddie Coyle”

  Well shot, edited, directed, and acted. Mikey carries this thing like no other. I do think it loses its way when the three gangsters enter the picture and it becomes Russian Three Stooges. But even though the picture ain’t for me totally in the end, I love it exists and all the praise is well deserved. Congratulations to Sean Baker and Mikey Madison on a triumphant Oscar haul. Indie filmmaking is where it’s at!
