I remember this movie being better when I saw it in theaters as a young lad. Cool dumb action and effects, but I’m not a huge fan when the main character is literal perfection who experiences no actual obstacles throughout the whole movie. The fight scenes involve dudes throwing dudes at other dudes as weapons so that was the highlight though.

It looks cool, actually got me interested in the lore of Oz, the humor is funny without the movie feeling too jokey. But man this shit is just way too long, and it’s only part 1? I will forever blame Harry Potter for this cockamamie make every movie a series adi prasangi

I really liked Black Swan, which was supposedly a ripoff of Perfect Blue. Aside from artists losing their grip on reality, I don’t think these movies have much in common. This movie was way more confusing, but the plot is gripping all the way through, and the suspense is really solid. My only mistake was watching this on a plane, I didn’t know how much nudity there was. The air hostesses were definitely judging me for looking at anime titties…
