  The Poseidon Adventure 1972

  This is why I will never go on a cruise ship. This and norovirus. I would die very early on in The Poseidon Fitness Challenge, and anyway I'd probably leap into the flood waters to get away from all these assholes shouting at each other the whole time. It's obviously an amazing 70s power cast, but Shelley Winters's character was the only one I found particularly likeable. (Her, and Ernest Borgnine's little v-neck muscle shirt. Just the shirt.)
  Nature is cruel and cruise ships are cruel. Never turn your back on the ocean!

  Star Trek: Section 31 2025

  I'm sad about how much this sucked. Discovery was a big hit at my house, and Emperor Philippa was one of the very best parts of it by far. How could an entire Philippa spinoff movie sink so low? It's kind of mind boggling.

  Event Horizon 1997

  I have realized that the thing I love most about Event Horizon is how much the characters care about each other and listen to each other, how much they value their own and each others’ lives. It would be an awesome scary space story either way, but the human feelings of our poor space adventurers really give it so much more impact and enjoyment.
