robert eggers has done it again ! i LOVED this film, and never once felt bored during it. the close ups were everything, and the film was filled with a dark, sensual atmosphere. lily-rose depp’s performance was truly phenomenal, and i didn’t even recognize bill skarsgård ! one of my favorite films of the year for sure !

this film is incredible - the way that she spends the whole movie trying to find herself and fight for a love that she thinks she wants / deserves just to end up finding it in Igor…. literally chefs kiss.
the camera shots of Igor always behind her and supporting her no matter what is masterful. he always had what she needed, even when she didn’t know what she needed and THAT is true love.
she was ripping that shit the whole time lowkey lmao. also FUCK ivan and his whiny bitchy attitude fr, he never deserved her.
