One of the smartest people I know showed me this, so I absolutely did have bias and very high hopes for this movie to begin with. To put it simply, it fulfilled them. I watched this one mostly unspoiled and even though I was super confused through the beginning, I liked the mystery. I liked making theories up while the perfect 50s attractive facade got slowly questioned and torn apart inbetween the pretty world visuals. I think Florence Pugh does a really good job of playing smart women who catch onto the little signs of things going wrong, and uh.. unfortunately get gaslighted pretty hard.
