mm i read the book like a week ago and im still bitter that no one warned me about how this was gonna end. i was a mess all night. i like having faces to put to each characters name after watching the movie but i think this was crazy boring in comparison and did not do johnny and dallys connection justice at all. speaking of dally #ineedthat. im sorry i should be more respectful. this really did alter my brain chemistry and im so glad i didnt watch it when i was a bitchy 7th grader. i wouldnβt have appreciated it

it always catches me off guard when doc says he married holly when she was fourteen. i don't know why i'm always surprised but it almost throws the whole movie off. the way they mention it just makes it feels so insignificant that i have to remind myself that her entire character is running from this marriage and subjecting herself to escorting and borderline sex work because sheβs LOST. you know what really throws the whole movie off? the insaneβ¦
