Past Lives 2023
A film that requires the viewer to already have—though perhaps not necessarily articulated—some specific feelings and key moments in their own life. Without those, I doubt very much that this film can resonate fully.
It's not the inert viewer's fault that they aren't moved, but I still pity them.

Anarchists consider a film more so than filmmakers consider anarchism.
A series of baffling choices that I, and indeed probably everyone, would not willingly make—but maybe that's the fun of it. Honestly, while I spent much of the film questioning the techniques, I was charmed by the conceits. Fun.
