“They might be my tribe, but you are my family.”

As always, I cried. This one really hit close to home as I love the friends I’ve made out east but miss my friends and family back home. Perfectly encapsulates the idea of no place ever being “home” as all the people I love will never be together where I am.

I love Paddington. He’s just a bear. Please look after him.

“She had friends who were… socialists.”

Greatest board game ever made and the film could be no less. Definitely a new classic for me.

Great commentary on the red scare and how our society will crumble under capitalism. Too many quotable lines to list, but the casts’ deliveries of their lines was top tier. We need to bring back kitschy writing, costuming, set design, and fun to movies in order to save society.

Lastly, remember communism is just a red herring!

Honestly, ten times better than I expected. Provides, what I imagine to be, a thorough look into the intricacies of the Catholic Church. I believe it provided a deeper look into the conflicts each individual has with themselves, their faith, and their community. While I struggle to believe a church to be as progressive and righteous as shown in the film, I think it is a great strive for all religions to reach.

Unaware of any Catholics opinions on this film and if the church had any involvement in its production (aka is this propaganda?), but consider me sold on converting to Catholicism. ;)
