The Sound of Music 1965
Might be the best 3 hour movie on planet earth. There is no emotion, mental breakdown, or perfect life that would stop me from watching this. I’ve never finished a 3 hour movie and said “let’s watch it again” as soon as it ended until I watched this movie. Young Christopher Plumber = HOT. Edelweiss = perfect lullaby. Julie Andrews makes being single seem like the best thing for a girl that is until she sits on a pine cone and gets that look - you know the one- then singleness suddenly is not an option.

I watch this ever. single. year at Christmastime. The costuming is untouchable. There’s something that technicolor brought to these old movies that truly was left in this time period and not brought into this modern world. I would love to see sound stages this stunning and visually captivating again!
