  Very thought provoking film, the relationship between the sisters felt so authentic and real. Such an interesting take on how with wealth, money and comfort, the privilege of pursuing your dreams (often rooted in selfishness) is also a luxury. The visual aesthetic is beautiful, truly taking you into the slums of India. My main qualm is that the film should have shown her final decision and given us an answer.

  Since I’m a cynic, I believe she stayed at the garment factory with her sister. After all, the mongoose dies at the end.

  the dog is called snoop, are you kidding me!!

  an incredibly thought provoking film with amazing performances. the story is so interesting, navigating memory, perspectives and the power of information. these sort of stories have been told quite often but i found it quite grounded and unique in the way the plot was approached. shall be thinking about this for a while.

  also the fight scene in marriage story is still superior but this is a very very close second - i’m quite biased though.
