The downside of the "experiment" is that an outcome contrary to the one portrayed is almost impossible. As self hatred and/or contempt and/or not feeling enough is the main motivator, no balance can be maintaned ever in anyone attempting this. I cannot imagine another strong motivator to attempt such a thing.
