  A dystopian date night movie. More rom-com than expected. Was excited to see Sophie Thatcher (from Yellowjackets) in a starring role, but also had to keep reminding myself she isn’t Anya Taylor-Joy. Curse of the doe-eyed baby girl but also femme fatales! 

  TLDR posed as thriller, but more lighthearted than expected. Slight themes of “what makes us human,” how easy white men can be narcissistic pricks (ie Promising Young Woman), and robot girls are fun to watch kill people!

  Made to be watched while on ketamine…Disturbing, sad, and beautiful. Will not watch again, but deserves to be watched. I too was a queer kid engrossed by cartoons and wanting to be more than I was. So I get it.
