Real Review (3/23):
It feels as if they saw video essay titles on Youtube saying that the best live action adaptation from Disney was Cinderella (2015) without actually watching the content, and they went ahead and made a cake without a recipe.
The first quarter of the film went strong because it was literally just Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella with a different coat of paint—a different shade of blue, rather.
The scenes where it was Rachel Zegler’s “I want” song…
Even if we say so much to one another, it feels like noise.
It’s not enough.
It’s never enough.
Somehow we never have the courage to say anything important. Which is ironic, considering we’re both in a field that pushes us to express our emotions and take up space.
It doesn’t matter anymore, I think.
No matter what happens to the both of us—I hope we’re allowed to see each other again. I hope I’m allowed to see you grow.
I hope you don’t worry about me, though. I’ll grow, even without you.

Real review:
This film made me realize that I can laugh and giggle and twirl my hair and kick my feet while watching any other kinds of terror BUT body horror.
Aging is already a troubling subject for me, but I'm doing better. This film scared me straight, and now I'm REALLY feeling A LOT better about getting old.
