A masterclass in build-up and tension. It still excites me as much today as it did back when 10-year-old me saw it for the first time in the cinema back in 1993. None of the other Park or World films got anywhere close to the first film's quailty and I've lost all faith any future releases ever will.

Instantly forgettable. I always enjoy Morena Baccarin but her talents are sadly wasted here.

They really nailed the look and feel of the Alien universe, right down to the retro futurism of the technology, the dimly lit empty metal corridors that seemingly span for miles, the long tracking shots in space; it's all here and it's all faultless.

Could definitely do without the constant callbacks and references to the older movies. Making Andy (best character) say THAT line made me roll my eyes so hard I saw my fucking brain.

What a relief to finally get a good Alien film again. Something I'd almost given up on.

Happy to see more people warming up (wheeey) to this movie. I can understand why the last act is jarring for some, but I never felt that way. It also gave us Adagio in D Minor, which we should all be grateful for.

A film that nails its ambition spectacularly.
