  It certainly can't be said that I didn't like the film: Bong Joon-ho's precise technique was all in there. BUT. Although the story was undoubtedly enjoyable, I felt like the emotional part was totally missing. I would say that the only thing that allowed me to feel some kind of emotion and empathy towards the protagonists was the love story, which I enjoyed because it was atypical and so very real. Apart from that, however, I felt quite flat. Certainly fun, but I also found the characters too forcedly stupid.

  That being said, my favorite part about this was definitely Robert, who was truly sublime.

  this movie really made me so mad. i’ll try to explain what i’m feeling right now.

  First of all, those two stars are the least Mija deserves for turning in her grandson and doing what’s right (as opposed to those others 0 deserving stars fathers).

  Second, although i liked Mija’s character and found her so sweet, she also really challenged my patience and i’m still questioning her a lot. ALSO HER DAUGHTER oh don’t get me started on her daughter.…
