I saw the trailer to this and was not as excited as everyone else. I'll watch anything though, and I'm glad that I did. This movie looks great!
The costumes and practical effects look amazing, and they perfectly encapsulated 90s B-horror and tokusatsu/Power Rangers.
My biggest issue is with the kids. Mimi is a spoiled brat that doesn't learn anything, and Luke is a pushover that doesn't find his spine. Their dynamic might have been more believable/worked better for me…
