Hey everyone,
For those of you who follow me, I just wanted to give you a head’s up that as of 13/07/2023, I’ll be de-activating my Letterboxd account ( I won’t be deleting my account, but will no longer be logging or reviewing movies). I’ve decided to step away from the platform due to some stuff that’s going on in my life, and need a break from my online presence. That being said, I would like to keep this account…
Honestly think someone like Guillermo del Toro would do a great job at adapting this material for modern audiences, as unforutenly a lot of the issues I have with the film come down to the time period in which it was made. If this had been made in the 50's or 60's, then I believe there wouldn't be as many limitations by Hollywood executives. Still, a movie that has actors with real physical abnormalities in this era of cinema is really impressive, especially with how it's still entertaining and emotional to watch.
According to my parents, this was the first movie I ever watched. So yeah, this is where it all began!
