    they managed to suck the heart and soul out of the animated source material. 

    The original 1937 film is one of my favorite Disney movies. With that, the creative liberties that they took on both the characters and the story did not do anything but take away from the movie and its tone. I love bad movies, don’t get me wrong. This one is just the bad kind of bad movie.

    I think this could’ve worked much better if it was a slasher. So many great elements that could’ve been explored had it picked a lane. 

    There’s a lot of wasted potential here. 

    Will need to rewatch in the future to make a better judgement.

    What really pains me is that Warner Bros did not distribute the movie leading to an abysmal marketing campaign. Like if this is proof that the studio disrespects animation this is proof. Their most iconic IP sent out to the wolves.
