The Father 2020
An absolutely crushing portrayal of the impact of Alzheimer's on one's sense of place and memory. Anthony Hopkins' Oscar win was well-warranted (although I haven't seen SoM yet), with Olivia Coleman giving an excellent supporting role. My brain definitely drew a lot of parallels to 2017's mother!, with the constant introduction of characters and changing setting. I'll join singing the praises for Florian Zellar—he absolutely knocked it out of the park for his directorial debut.
