Synecdoche, New York 2008
Watched this again. I misremembered a lot, but it holds... still my favorite. Heartwrenching, oddly hopeful -- life is a constant act of becoming with no real sense to any of it. It is all arbitrary, we are all rushing toward death, living only in a tiny fraction of time.
Everyone is disappointing the more you know them. And yet we love them anyway.
I know a lot of people feel gutted walking away from this film. Perhaps it's because…
