Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo 2012
This movie doesn’t have to contend with adapting the series, which frees it up to be a *movie.* the concept of Shinji & co dealing with Angels works well for a tv show, where each Angel can be dealt with in an episode or two. But this makes the pacing of the first two rebuilds difficult. This entry into the series doesn’t have this problem. It can still have a huge Eva battle, but it doesn’t have to have three or four Angel battles scattered throughout.
