I freaking love this movie. Come at me. I just think it has so much going for it. You could enjoy it on its surface as a creature-feature. Or you could wonder what it might mean if the creature was meant to be metaphorical. Does it become an art-film at that point? It's already mixing historical drama with camp horror with feminist agitprop action sci-fi. Why not throw some literary criticism in there for good measure? And 80's synth underscoring WWII action that reminds me of my badass grandfathers? I'm here for it.
