  Kubrick what the actual “fuck”. This was genuinely the worst adaptation I have had the displeasure of sitting through. Every scene so thoroughly missed the points of their literary counterparts that eventually I thought maybe Kubrick wrote this to be a satire of the book. Every level of subtlety out the window, every character wasted. Every single one of my favorite moments from this book was replaced with what I’m going to call Kubrick guff.
