  I have no words. This was the peak of cinema. 

  Undercover brother is the coolest guy to walk this earth. Opening scene — he tailspins a land yacht Cadillac into a parallel spot and doesn’t spill a DROP of his big gulp. Then he casually scales a wall with his scissor lift platforms and floats to the ground with ease in his parachute bell bottoms!!!!

  Every other scene has a disco song and THE James Brown plays himself in this!!!!…

  Mulholland Drive 2001

  I forgot how good this movie is and also how tragic. I last saw this four years ago and on rewatch there are so many details I missed the first time. I could understand (or at least I think) what was going on. Diane is such a tragic character.

  I also forgot how subtly funny this movie is. Being in a packed theater probably helped. 

  I love the world this movie creates. LA is one of the characters. Dreamy Hollywood and its dark side are one of my favorite genres.

  Seen this movie many times before. It never gets old. Always makes me feel good.
