  Immense, epic, and at many times pure biblically terrifying. Masterfully heartfelt characterizations with every single inflection. The dwarfing scale and scope of the animal spirit in nature is on full display here. Monumental animated filmmaking.

  (My favorite was the little lemur guy obsessed with his little trinkets)

  All the incels reviewbombing this sequel can seriously fuck off; it's a perfectly good extension of the original, subverting many genre expectations, presenting alchemical performances from Phoenix and Gaga, and thoughtfully intertwining themes of celebrity worship and toxic relationships.

Following
