Really a lot to unpack with this one. I'm not sure how to feel about the fact that it almost plays like a sympathy piece for a fictional neo-nazi who committed a crime out of pure hatred, but at the same time i love how the movie plays into the aspect of redemption. The Brutalist 2024
I'm really not sure how to put into words how to feel about this movie. I feel that i could rate it half a star or a full 5 stars and both outcomes would be equally satisfying to me. All the actors performances were so raw you could feel it through the screen. The expressions on every characters face, especially in the first half, somehow perfectly drove home the fact that laszlo was very much not welcome, and was simply bring tolerated because of his talent.
