My first encounter with a dogme movie. I respect the vision. All stylistic choices serve the story and its themes well. A 1998 digital handcam does not, however. ISO settings on that camera were so maxed out you really only saw grain on the screen in the nighttime scenes. All with a really low resolution on top of that. Timeless artistry captured on rapidly aging technology. A bit jarring. Premature movement that deserves a revival in this day and age.
