liked but didn’t love it! performances were great (i love you robert) and it was chaotically fun but I felt like it dragged at times + some themes/characters felt a little rehashed from other bong joon-ho movies that covered them better (okja + snowpiercer). still a fun watch in a theater though!

A Real Pain 2024
such a beautiful screenplay, hope it wins that Oscar. I loved kieran’s performance (obviously) but jesse’s performance is so layered and moving too (anxious boy representation <3). loved how it portrays messy family dynamics and immigrant family/generational expectations. one of my faves of 2024.
