Samurai Rebellion 1967
This samurai drama is filled with powerhouse performances by Toshiro Mifune, Tatsuya Nakadai, and others. The way Kobayashi is able to add depth to the rooms he shoots is on full display here. The staging in Samurai Rebelion is insane and the weighty, purposeful dialogue is effective.
