The Lost World: Jurassic Park 1997
The Lost World has a lot of good things going for it, but it also has a few things that just make you go “huh”.
Although I don’t think Hammond is much of a changed man, I do love the sentiment of preservation and isolation at the end of the movie.

The Battle of Geonosis is more tragic to me than Order 66 because our main characters have literally been doing everything they can to prevent war from breaking out across the galaxy. In the end they’re forced to participate in a war they want no part in. They’re given no choice but to “do their duty” while trying to hold on to the people they care about most.
The war was lost before it began.
