  I really don’t like this movie. It has one scene which is brilliantly shot written and acted (the pole scene) but the rest of the movie is very meh. It’s a lot of lingering shots which lead to nothing. And then all of a sudden it goes wild off the rails. Maybe I missed something but I did not think the ending made sense at all. I left the movie confused and bored.

  I love Greta Gerwig and I thought this had great script. The coloring was great. And the himbos were a great touch. I do think it is an incredible deconstruction of the modern patriarchy but at the same time a complete absolution of capitalism. The whole movie is an ad for Mattel and Barbie and consumerism. They mention it once but not enough. They also hardly mention how Barbie’s proportions are unhealthy. I think this was funny and good but could’ve gone deeper into the subject. It was quite funny thouhh

  Kinda iconic. Doesn’t make sense at all but I think that’s the point. I definitely had fun but it kinda lost its way. But I wasn’t bored.
