Jim Henson Idea Man 2024
It may be the fact that the director, Ron Howard, was two rows behind me when screening this film, but it was incredibly moving, and a beautiful representation of beautiful creatives our world has to offer. I saw this film premiere at Cannes and I’m grateful I had the opportunity. Jim Henson was a once in a lifetime visionary, and the film it self did him justice. It’s hard for people to talk highly of the entertainment industry, and this was a beautiful way to share its positivity, creativity, and it’s heartwarming side.

This is Citizen Kane to a T. The movie ended and my friend I attended the Cannes Premiere with turned to me and said, “is that not Citizen Kane?” And she was absolutely right. I wanted to like it…I thought Gere’s performance was pretty compelling, and that’s about it. I wasn’t impressed by any other actor, or even the story for that matter. Kinda all over the place, and that’s the point, but I didn’t feel compelled by the story or characters. It was meh.
