men are diabolical dogs who plague everyday life, but i digress…
very human filmmaking. ending broke me (primarily due to recent circumstances, i.e. my grandpa died). wish i watched in a theater and that there was more yang-yang levity throughout.
some of the final sequences seemed a little over-the-top compared to the honest, slow-burn storytelling that makes up the majority of the film. didn’t fully jump the shark, but definitely felt a little… jarring? idk, will be revisiting!
movies give us twice what we get from daily life
