I love parties. Birthday parties, last-minute living room soirees, renegade raves. I love them because these are some of the more consistent places in our worker bee lives where people gather, share food, enjoy the company of others, listen and hopefully dance to music. It is challenging to capture the blissful weirdness, texture, and ephemerality of a party on film. Lover's Rock and Greg Harrison's 2000s rave film Groove are the most successful attempts I've seen.

The scenes of Micah and Jo on a beautiful day in San Fransisco are so sweet and romantic, but there is an underlying tension between them. The stunning, sun-dappled, and free couple don’t view life in the same way, and over 24 hours more things come to light.
