Watched with boyfriend and his mind is so beautiful he did not leave it feeling depressed. He said this movie is about cherishing every moment with your partner. Loving them for who they are good and bad. He says it’s about how every memory is important good and bad. He doesn’t believe Joel and Clem are doomed and I think that’s just lovely.

Let me just start by saying that this is a movie that I think is better than its book. I adore the book. But Greta Gerwig made the 100 year old story feel relevant and important today by highlighting specific conflicts in the story.
