Liquid Sky 1982
I revisited this for the first time since 1985. It truly feels like I never watched. It is an experimental 80s movie and probably gave it a higher score due to nostalgia.

Anney in the City 2019
The cinematography shows a love of the city and some great shots that linger. A story of someone feeling detached from the world and not finding where their puzzle piece fits in life. I enjoyed this movie for two different reasons: 1) Anney is a relatable character that has a warmth and charm in her awkwardness. 2) I am a fan of the the cast and crew from their podcast lives. Overall well done with my only slight criticism would be a bit of the acting felt stiff, otherwise a solid first feature.

The Other Side of the Wind 2018
I think having see the companion documentary "They'll Love Me When I'm Dead" was enlightening and let me follow the dig at Hollywood and the connections to the characters in the film. This was a wonderful look into the mind of a brilliant director and his attempt to finish his career with an equally brilliant movie as his other films. The entire industry changed around him and his observation and critique around it.
