No Country for Old Men (2007)
A movie for those who like to think while watching. The Coen brothers create such a masterful universe driven by good and evil presented by two main characters who share similarities but in the end they achieve nothing. They are driven by passion and unspoken codes that eventually lead them to an emptiness that can only be described as desolate. No Country for Old Men left me speechless.

Interstellar (2014)
I’ve seen this movie a couple of times at this point and every instance it seems to meet the mark. It pulls you in with its whimsical music score and provides an engaging outlook on the detriment the human race has on our ecosystem. The films pacing races through the world building providing subtle insights to what has happened to the earth, and sends the viewer on a journey to discover the human races place among the stars.
