SUPER fucking weird, as is all of Cronenberg's works. This particular one I was quite excited for given what I'd heard about it and its potential allusions and comparisons to trans experiences in the world today, but there's to pull apart with this one. The Holdover's was an especially personal movie for me. I'm a sucker for movies that present themselves in a certain fashion, perhaps they are more common than I know myself, by The Lighthouse for being black and white, and this movie, for presenting itself as an older movie in quality and style is very fun.
More than that though, while I've never been held over a break, nor has my school been a boarding school where I lived at it.…
