how are you gonna make a movie about the 2004 tsunami that killed over 100,000 asian people and only cast white people for it? on the upside, at least this movie is dogshit so there's not really much to miss out on.
gets half a star for giving me a "THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT FUCKING KISS?" moment with me realizing that was tom holland at about 40 minutes in.

movie would be probably twice as good, mathematically, if it cut out all the shit with igor being an r/niceguy who gets his pussy at the end. it's very jarring to have your principal character in one scene say that someone has "rape eyes" and then fuck him five minutes later. if undercutting your deconstruction of the cinderella romance story was the plan all along, then congrats, but it genuinely left me wondering what the point was. it's a shame…
