    Something I think a lot about is when I was a nanny, the middle son, he was 6, he LOVED being scared. Every time we went to Target, he wanted to go to the NECA toy section, back behind the DVDs. They have these boxes with flap covers so he would open up the flap on, say, Pennywise. Scare himself. Slam it shut. Repeat.

    I don't understand a child's desire for scares. Kids seek out things that freak them out.…

    Insane to me that Gunn managed to pull the hat trick here.

    It's uneven, and a little long, but they stick the landing. Even so, I can't really fault Gunn indulging himself with a blank check, a position that no other filmmaker has seemed to have gotten in the MCU. One last ride, blaze of glory, etc. Fuck yeah, man. It rules.
