As remakes go this was a solid one- didn’t quite have the silliness of Swayze’s original but Gyllenhaal’s performance as Elwood Dalton makes this a fun ride!

Doug Liman is a director who usually provides watchable movies and this one is one of his more middle of the road efforts. Plot feels very run of the mill and Billy Magnussen again plays his usual unlikeable douchebag villain- but there is definitely fun to be had with Dalton dishing out beatdown’s to bad guys! Though- less said about Conor McGregor’s Knox the better… great fighter doesn’t necessarily translate the great villain!

When you watch a Yorgos Lanthimos film- be prepared for anything. This is one movie that it is hard to describe because it is unique in so many different ways. From its gorgeous pastel colours and almost futuristic set design to its bizarre yet compelling score by Jerskin Fendrix.

The Tragedy of Macbeth is an absolute visual feast that makes black and white look like an art form. It also captures all the energy and ferocity of a stage play and this is helped by the…

This movie was probably the most fiercely debated of 2021! A notable box office bomb, viewers were largely spilt down on the middle and it was unfairly referred to as the 'Rape Rashomon'. While it's true this movie is not an entirely comfortable watch, it does contain a strong commentary on sexual abuse and the continued shaming of female victims.

Set in medieval France, the movie is split into three distinct sections concerning the assault of Marguerite de Carrouges (Jodie…
